Jessica Simpson Welcomes Baby Boy Ace Knute Johnson!

Fashion Star mentor and clothing designer Jessica Simpson welcomed her second child today June 30 with fiance Eric Johnson. Baby Ace Knute Johnson is the first boy for the couple, who welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew in May 2012. Jessica and her fiance are thrilled to welcome their first boy, and released a statement: “Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great,”

The little boy was born in Los Angeles at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center via a scheduled C-section. The 32-year-old Simpson and the 33-year-old Johnson, a former NFL tight end for the New Orleans Saints, got engaged in November 2010 but are yet to pick a wedding date.

‘Enter the Dragon’ Star Jim Kelly Dies at 67

Actor and martial artist Jim Kelly, who vaulted to fame alongside the legendary Bruce Lee in the classic 1973 action film “Enter the Dragon,” has died of undisclosed causes. his ex-wife Marilyn Dishman reported earlier today on her Facebook page.

The worldwide popularity of “Enter the Dragon” instantly turned Kelly into an action superstar, leading to roles in numerous blaxploitation films.

175 Inmates Set Free In Akure Prison Break

According to reports from Sahara Reporters, unknown gunmen numbering 50 have broken into the medium security Olokuta prison along Ondo road in Akure, Ondo state. The gunmen set 175 inmates free in a daring attack that took place around 12: midnight.Eyewitnesses said the gunmen freely used Improvised Explosive Devices to carryout out the jailbreak. It was not known as at the time of publishing this report if anyone  was killed during the attack.

My Life As A Yemoja Priestess - 22 Year Old Obafemi Awolowo University student

Iyalorisa Egbelade Omitonade Ifawemimo is a Yemoja worshipper and a traditionalist. The 22-year-old, who is a 300 level student at the Department of Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University, shares in this interview with Doyin Adeoye of Tribune, her religious beliefs and passion for the indigenous African religion, among other things. I was born into the African traditional religion. My father, Chief Olukunmi Omikemi Egbelade is a Yemoja Chief priest as well as a Babalawo. He is the president of all Onisese in Oyo State and although we were not allowed to really get involved when we were young, I was later gradually tutored in it as I grew up, when my parents realised I had passion for it.I practise the African traditional religion and I am a Yemoja worshipper, as well as a Yemoja priestess.

 Originally from Owerri, Imo State in Nigeria, John Olumba  the son of a Nigerian father and American mother was born at Grace Hospital in Detroit and is one of five children.  He comes from a long line of activists, judges, chiefs in America and Nigeria. Following the reaction on the pictures of a wrap of hemp and grains of the weed formed into the letters, ‘Happy birthday POKO.’ allegedly posted by actress Tonto Dikeh alongside pictures of herself with the caption; "‘Mi smoke ganja mi smoke weed while my hatez smoke ma gossip." The actress who reports say may be facing a 15 year jail term as a result of the action has come out on twitter to outrightly deny the pictures. See her tweet below;

The third series of Shuga will be produced and filmed in Nigeria for the first time ever, utilising a predominantly Nigerian cast and crew. Celebrated Nigerian film-maker Biyi Bandele, director of the hotly anticipated feature film of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “Half of a Yellow Sun”, will direct the 8-part series. Crafting the screenplay for Shuga is a team of Nigerian writers led by award-winning scriptwriter Kemi Adesoye (“Tinsel”, “The Figurine”, “Doctors Quarters”, “National Cake”), who was hand-picked for the project by Bandele after he saw her screenplay for “Phone Swap”.
