| Henrietta, Christy Essien Igbokwe and Ire the Stage Devi |
It's being two years since the lady of songs Christy Essien Igbokwe passed on, she still lives on in her songs one of them the very popular and evergreen 'Seun Rere'. Right before she passed on, she remixed the hit song with Ire the stage Devi and that was her last work before she breathed her last. Read about it in this piece written by Henrietta Ikediashi ;Ire's manager;
"Here's a tribute titled Ijeoma by Ire the stage Devi in collaboration with Kaka. This tribute is our own way of appreciating the late lady of songs for granting Ire & her manager Henrietta Ikediashi the right to remix 'Seun Rere' without taking a dime from us. She foretold her death while we were in the studio recording the song with her by saying "my children, you had better shoot the video immediately because I will be going on a long journey I might never return from and this video will be the only evidence that will make the world believe I featured in the remix".
The recording was analog and at then, we were cash-strapped but had to bring on board Babatunde Alabi a still photographer to document the recording hoping that we would shoot the video. Ire the stage Devi and Kaka were the only musical acts that ever did collaborative piece with the late lady of songs and Ire was the last person that worked with her."
