OLUCHI'S SEMI-NUDE PICTURES,WHAT DO U THINK???!

This is Oluchi Onweagba Orlandi baring her 6ft tall body in these poses. she has a good and lithe body even after a baby boy we agree but this I believe is too daring. I still remember her as that gawky girl  who  grew up in Ayilara a  suburb of Lagos and who was just seventeen years old when she won the Face of Africa in 1998 and was given a three-year modeling contract by Elite Model Management, a welcome development which changed her life forever.Yes the ugly duckling is now a beautiful swan but these pictures are really in bad taste and I'm sure they won't make her family back home proud as well. That's my opinion anyway! What's yours?

Getting your Blush On

A subtle touch of blush on the cheeks completes your make-up and makes you look like a finished piece of art. It enriches your features and adds brilliance to your face. It is found in a variety of shades and different textures: powder, cream, gel, pearls. They are destined for different skin types and different day moments. The application of correct makeup according to skin tone, clothes, contouring of face and occasion is an art that needs to be perfected with practice and patience. While dabbing on foundation and blending it in is easier in comparison, the art of stroking blush-on to highlight or downplay cheekbones requires the right colour and lighting along with the appropriate make-up brush. The application of blush comes after the complete makeup/foundation and concealer has been put into place. The proper use of blush can help liven up an ordinary face and bring out the radiance of an unusual one. How one applies blush makeup determines whether they can bring out the structural beauty of a face, add shape or refine a too-plump one and narrow it down or simply give your complexion the warm glow of youth. Day wear requires a light application of blush applied directly on the apples of your cheeks in short, rounded strokes while a glamorous evening wear look would call for a bit of drama and an upward sweep of the magic blush wand along the bottom of your apples, towards your temples.

NIGERIAN FASHION DESIGNER, ITUEN BASI BRINGS 'HIP' TO HELMETS

Nigerian fashion designer Ituen Basi made a bold statement about motorcycle road safety at the first ever Arise African Fashion Week in March. Instead of the studs and leathers that generally mark biker style, Basi used bright, cloth-covered custom motorcycle helmets to promote helmet use as a life-saving strategy. Nigeria’s outdated infrastructure and congested roadways have long made motorcycle transport a faster, more desirable alternative to cars; the same factors have also made them the least safe option. Victims with spinal injuries are admitted almost daily to Nigerian hospitals. City streets teem with zippy okadas, the commercial motorcycles that carry passengers for hire. After decades of alarmingly high mortality rates amongst these motorcyclists, a law was passed in January of 2009 to make helmets mandatory for both drivers and passengers. Okdada users did not respond well to the new safety legislation. Drivers bemoaned the hefty price tag on helmets and passengers feared drivers would fill the helmets with black magic, or use them to cast spells.

It was a way to harness the influential power of fashion and use it to shift public opinion on helmet safety. in her words.

WHITE DRESS FEVER

By Éjire
234next
‘When will you marry: this year / next year / sometime forever’? I am at that age when getting married is supposed to be The Next Big Thing. Rumour has it that if you are unmarried at this age and you are not already planning your big day, there’s something terribly wrong with you.
But if there’s anything that’s got something terribly wrong with it, it’s this notion. And it hurts many single women. We need to put a stop to the pressure. We are young, beautiful, intelligent, virtuous, loving, generous, compassionate and most of all, happy… at least I am. As for me, I will get married one day and if I don’t, well… I don’t! My status should not define me.
Dear Society, please do not make us settle for less. I know that if I do, I will be unhappy; I will have to endure my marriage instead of enjoying it. How does one endure life for the rest of one’s life? While I am unmarried, I have a great life, I have health, I have a great job, I am at peace, I am happy and I am safe. Does that count? Due to pressure, the single woman may get desperate and the result – she dresses up and carries herself just the way men like it. They, of course, start to approach her, and she says what she thinks they want to hear.
If she is fortunate, they like her, or at least one does.
Then one thing leads to another and they set a date. More stuff happens, and then she gets married. And in no time there is trouble.
There is trouble because she can’t keep up appearances for that long! If she is lucky, he might just be verbally and emotionally abusive towards her instead of getting physical. Better still, he might give her daily doses of the very silent treatment and not care for her the way he ought to. I ask, is it all worth it? Divorce is on the increase. Folks are running out of the marriages they ran into. I don’t blame them. I blame the society. Our families. Our mothers. Please S.T.O.P. the pressure. We will get married someday… God willing.
In the meantime, please let us live!
