This year, Africa Fashion Week, AFWT debuts as a series of city-wide events that will
attract, entertain, and educate on everything African fashion from
August 15 – 18, 2013 at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, 6
Garamond Court in Toronto. The event opens on the first day with a red carpet cocktail reception
in the evening while a student designer competition and runway shows
will run on the days following that. I’m looking forward to all parts of
the event especially the informative ‘Fashion Africa’ seminar and
festive meet-n-greets.
